We are well acquainted with the business practices of Japanese companies, so we provide system development of "Japan quality" including the development environment. Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Product Engineer who specializes in Ruby on Rails and has a solid understanding of Angular, product strategy, and technical/business architecture. This individual will play a critical role in driving the product vision, solving current product challenges, and leading collaborative efforts with the team to deliver scalable, efficient solutions. The ideal candidate should also be adept at using low-code platforms to expedite development cycles and understand the holistic business context of the product. Key Responsibilities: Product Strategy & Vision: • Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision, long-term strategy, and technical direction. • Analyze business needs and customer feedback to craft a product roadmap aligned with company goals. Technical & Business Architecture: • Design, develop, and maintain scalable architectures using Ruby on Rails. • Ensure product alignment with business processes by developing a deep understanding of business architecture. • Design low-code solutions when applicable to streamline the development process. Team Collaboration & Leadership: • Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, QA, and operations to build high-quality products. • Lead discussions around product and technical challenges, helping the team find effective solutions. • Drive continuous improvement through knowledge-sharing and mentoring within the team. Product Problem-Solving: • Identify existing product issues and propose viable technical solutions. • Develop features that address customer needs and improve the overall product experience. • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that the product is constantly evolving and improving based on data-driven insights. Key Skills & Requirements: Technical Skills: • Must have: Expertise in Ruby on Rails and its ecosystem. • Must have: Knowledge of database like MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite. • Must have: Knowledge of MVC structure. • Must have: A knack for writing clean, readable Ruby code. • Must have: Knowledge of code versioning like Git. • Should have: Working knowledge of Angular for front-end integration. • Should have: Good knowledge of Unit Testing. • Experience with low-code platforms or approaches for accelerating delivery. • Familiarity with modern web technologies, API development, and cloud platforms. • Experience in leading a product from ideation to deployment. • Familiarity with mobile technologies (iOS/Android) is a plus. Strategic & Analytical Thinking: • Ability to think at both the technical and business levels, understanding product architecture and business architecture. • Product-first mindset with the ability to prioritize features that align with business outcomes and customer satisfaction. Collaboration & Communication: • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse teams across multiple functions. • A leader who can motivate the team, take ownership of product challenges, and drive toward successful outcomes. Problem-Solving Abilities: • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex product issues. • Ability to quickly understand current problems and plan immediate and long-term fixes. Preferred Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5+ years using Ruby on Rails. Prior experience in a product engineering role with strategic involvement. Experience in both technical and business aspects of product development. Experience working in Agile development environments
