Job description
System Engineer Responsibilities: • Develop deep insight into system logs from all SAN components and be able to root cause the issue to specific component. • Thorough understanding of the FC Protocol and transactions. • Architecture level understating of various hardware and software components of Storage Area Network • Front ends customer escalations and leads issue reproduction and debugging activities. Competent with log analysis from various SAN components and FC trace collection and analysis • Represents the software systems engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects. Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members. • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members. What you need to bring: Knowledge and Skills: • Domain expertise in the SAN, Enterprise Storage and interoperability testing. • Well versed with configuring, log collection and log analysis of various SAN components which includes Switches, Storage and Servers. • FC Trace collection and system Log analysis; Thorough understanding of protocols; Fibre Channel Protocol. NVMe over TCP and TCPIP understanding is desired. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Expertise in multiple Operating Systems, software systems design tools and languages. • Administering multiple platform types. • Software systems testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels. Documentation & Reporting • Produce high-quality Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports, technical analysis documents, and engineering design validation summaries. • Maintain clear, structured defect documentation and present risk assessments to leadership. • Contribute to requirement reviews, design discussions, and release readiness evaluation Additional Skills: Cloud Architectures, Cross Domain Knowledge, Design Thinking, Development Fundamentals, DevOps, Distributed Computing, Microservices Fluency, Full Stack Development, Security-First Mindset, Solutions Design, Testing & Automation, User Experience (UX)
