Job description

Job Summary:
We are looking for an Azure Data Engineer with 4-6 years of experience to join our team and take ownership of our Azure-based data engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Azure Databricks and a strong understanding of data integration and analytics using either Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse Analytics, along with Delta Lake, Azure Functions, ML Studio, and Cosmos DB. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines to support business intelligence, machine learning, and analytical applications.


Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Databricks.
Implement Delta Lake architecture for scalable and reliable data storage and processing.
Work with either Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse Analytics to perform large-scale data processing and transformation.
Integrate various Azure services such as Azure Functions for event-driven data processing.
Utilize ML Studio to support machine learning model training and deployment.
Manage and optimize Cosmos DB for real-time and NoSQL database requirements.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring reliability and performance.
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into engineering solutions.
Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within Azure.


Required Skills & Qualifications:
3+ years of experience working with Azure Data Engineering tools.
Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks for data processing and analytics.
Strong proficiency in either Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse Analytics for orchestrating data workflows.
Knowledge of Delta Lake for managing large-scale structured and unstructured data.
Experience in Azure Functions for event-driven data processing.
Exposure to ML Studio for integrating machine learning solutions.
Working experience with Cosmos DB for NoSQL and real-time analytics.
Strong SQL and Python skills for data processing and transformation.
Understanding of data lakehouse architecture and data governance principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.


Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in Microsoft Azure Data Engineering (DP-203) or related Azure certifications.
